Emyr Breese

Here is information about Emyr in his own words:
Hi, my name is Emyr Breese,
I have been tying flies for about 15 years and I first got serious when anglers asked which local patterns worked on my lakes. I was then given a comprehensive period of lessons over several months by a dear friend, George Ambler from Sheffield, an experienced tyer of Salmon & Trout flies, who stayed locally and fished everyday of his holiday until his untimely call to pastures new.
I mainly tye competition flies although I don’t really have a speciality in fly tying, other than “ to go with the flow” which with all the new products that are available gives you a wide and artistic licence to produce “new” flies, I say “new” flies but all flies are mainly based on original patterns.
I have been privileged to represent Wales in two countryside sports, Shooting in the Commonwealth Games in 1978 and also as a member of the Gold winning Fly-Fishing International team in 2001. I am also a current member of the Welsh Team who will be fishing on Rutland Water in June.
I was also the Official fly tyer for both Gold Medal winning teams in 2001 and 2002.
I was also the founder member of our local Fly Dressers Guild “Cymdeithas Cawio Ceredigion” now called Ceredigion Fly Tying Club.
This is my first Fly Fair and I am very much looking forward to meeting new people and making new lifelong friends.
