Niclas was born in 1971 and lives in Söderhamn, on the east coast of Sweden. His fly-fishing and fly-tying interest started in the mid 80's but was put to rest only a few years later, when other interests took over. It was picked up again in 2004 and on the internet he met a group of experienced tiers who quickly made him start to see fly-tying as a passion rather than just maintenance of the fly-boxes. It became a separate interest besides fly-fishing and he started to tie outside his own boxes more often, which gave his progress a helpful push.

Niclas kind of fishing lies in the trout range. He mostly fish for brown trout and rainbow trout in his local P&T waters but occasionally he get a chance to wade out in a stream with wild fish, which is the place he prefers to find himself. The flies he ties are mainly trout flies, but he also has a thing for less serious "just for fun"-tying... weird flies and tiny flies, never to be used for fishing. "If it can't catch a trout, it might at least put a smile on someone's face".
 
Niclas is a member of the Dyna-King Pro Staff and the Nymph-Head Fly-Tying Pro Team. Aside of demos and smaller fairs in Sweden, he has tied at Sowbug Roundup in USA 2006 and 2008. 2008 he also tied at the Dutch FlyFair and in 2009 he tied at the Swedish FlyFair, the Swedish Fishing Fair and the Finnish FlyFair.
